Welcome to 4G GPTAS, a general-purpose triple-axis neutron spectrometer installed at the research reactor JRR-3, Tokai, Japan. The GPTAS is an indispensable tool for investigation of structural and magnetic aspects of condensed matters, such as strongly-correlated-electron systems, ferroelectrics, frustrated magnets, quantum spin systems, quasicrystals, liquids, and so on. With the wide energy and Q ranges, various selections of resolution functions, and well-designed sample-environment suite, GPTAS provides versatile research opportunities for the neutron scattering community. The GPTAS is maintained by Taku J. Sato and his group. If you wish to see the activity of the Sato group, visit their webpage.
